Ripping things out

Up until now, all we'd had to do is wait, choose, oh and pay, while others did the dirty work. Now it was our turn!  Inside, Lily was damp, dated and dishevelled so work began to strip everything out that was neither wanted or needed.  Removing the patchwork of tongue and groove from the walls revealed a further patchwork of rust.  Thus followed a frenzy of brushing, sweeping and red oxiding until we were duly satisfied that the walls weren't going to fall off!
